Alice was brilliant and insightful — she wondered if we might let both the dogs go on their final journey together. Alice offered to put them to sleep in their beloved home. She was so gentle with both the dogs and us and it was very peaceful. We were so grateful.”

“How do you ever find the words to thank someone who helped you say goodbye to your whole world? I first contacted Alice several months before losing my beautiful boy, Max, possibly as far back as April. Over those months, we communicated by email and telephone, and from the very beginning, her kindness, patience and compassion shone through. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She always made time, answered my questions and offered reassurance during a time when I was facing something I couldn't bear to contemplate. On 8th October, that heartbreaking day finally came. After almost 15 wonderful years together (he would of been 15 2 days later), I had to say goodbye to my precious Max. He had deteriorated so rapidly that morning, and the thought of taking him away from the comfort and familiarity of his home, when he was already so terribly poorly, was unbearable. When I contacted Alice to say it was time around 9:30 am, she arrived in less than an hour. At a time when every moment felt overwhelming and my world was falling apart, knowing she was on her way brought some relief. And when she arrived, she brought with her something I will never forget.... There was something truly special about Alice. She had the most beautiful aura, a gentle almost angelic presence. A quiet warmth and calmness that brought a little peace into a morning filled with unimaginable heartbreak. Her compassion extended far beyond Max. She was there for my mum and me, too, with such genuine kindness, understanding and tenderness. At a time when we were both utterly devastated, her presence meant more than I could ever put into words. She treated my precious boy with such dignity, respect and gentleness, allowing him to remain in the home he loved, surrounded by everything familiar and the 2 people who adored him. And Alice's care didn't end when Max took his final breath. There was no rush for him to leave our home, we were given all the time we needed, but when it was time for him to leave, she carried him out so gently in a basket, nestled beneath a beautiful navy, velvet-like blanket. He looked as though he was simply peacefully asleep. That image will stay with me forever. Even in death, my precious boy was treated with such tenderness, dignity and respect. There was something profoundly comforting about seeing him so beautifully cared for on his final journey. Alice took Max to the crematorium on Thursday, and by the end of the day on Monday, Alice collected him and he was back home with us, which did bring me some comfort. And even then, her kindness continued. Alice sent us the loveliest card afterwards, another incredibly thoughtful gesture from someone who had already given us so much. She is also a wonderfully talented artist, with a gentleness and creativity that seem to reflect the beautiful person she is. Max wasn't simply a dog. He was my constant companion, my little shadow, my family and my whole heart. Almost 15 years of unconditional love, memories and a bond that death can never take away. Nothing could have made losing him any less heartbreaking, but Alice gave us something incredibly precious amidst that pain: the comfort of knowing his final moments were peaceful, gentle and filled with love. Some people have a rare gift for bringing light into the darkest of moments. Alice is one of those people. From our very first conversation, through the most devastating goodbye, to bringing my beautiful boy home again, her compassion never faltered. I will carry the gratitude I feel towards her for the rest of my life. Thank you, Alice, for everything you did for Max, for the kindness you showed my mum and me, and for going above and beyond in ways that will never be forgotten. You were our angel on the darkest of days. ❤️🐾 For others reading this if i could give you one piece of advice plan ahead if you can. I registered Max with Alice some months before, picked his urn, the individual cremation, Alice to take him to the crematorium and bring him home,no up front payment. Which made those last hours a bit easier.”
