The Home Farewell Vet Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15498178, VAT 477 5403 66), based in Truro, Cornwall. We are the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website and in connection with our in-home pet euthanasia services.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity data: your name and the name of your pet
- Contact data: email address, phone number, and home address
- Appointment data: preferred dates, service selected, and any notes you provide about your pet's condition
- Communications data: records of emails or messages you send us
- Usage data: anonymised information about how you use our website, collected via Google Analytics (see Section 6)
We do not collect any special category data (e.g. your own health data) and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
3. How We Collect Your Data
- Directly from you when you call, email, complete our contact form, or use our online booking system
- Via our online booking system (powered by Wix Bookings) when you reserve an appointment
- Via our client registration form hosted on Wix
- Automatically via Google Analytics cookies when you visit our website (with your consent)

5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your data. We may share it with:
- Wix.com Ltd: our website and booking platform provider, acting as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement
- Google LLC: for website analytics (Google Analytics), subject to Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the UK/EEA
- St Francis Pet Crematorium: only where you have selected a cremation service and solely to arrange that service
- HM Revenue & Customs: where required by law
6. Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our site (e.g. pages visited, time on site, device type). We use this data only to improve the website experience.
We have enabled IP anonymisation, meaning your full IP address is never stored. The data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses approved for UK adequacy.
Google Analytics is only activated with your consent (via our cookie banner). You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Enquiries with no booking made: deleted within 12 months of last contact
- Appointment and client records: retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes
- Google Analytics data: retained for 14 months (default retention setting), then automatically deleted
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure: ask us to delete your data where we have no legitimate reason to retain it
- Right to restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
