Peaceful Home Euthanasia

When the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved friend, we bring the care to you.

Peaceful home euthanasia

We come in home clothes, not scrubs — your pet won't recognise the vet smell. Once with you, we'll introduce ourselves, spend time explaining our process, and let your pet get comfortable with us before we begin.

How It Works

1

A gentle sedation first

A small injection just under the skin — a combination of pain relief and a relaxant. Your pet will feel calm and sleepy within minutes, completely unaware of what follows.

2

Drifting off to sleep

Once deeply asleep and completely at peace, the second injection is given. Their heart slows and stops gently. It is calm, it is quiet, and it is dignified.

3

Private time for goodbye

We step away and give you all the time you need. There is no rush. When you are ready, we'll talk through next steps — home burial, or cremation if you'd like.

"Alice was absolutely wonderful. She made the whole experience so peaceful and gentle. Our dog Lola just drifted off quietly in our arms."

— Elizabeth Cawley

"I cannot thank Sam enough for the kindness and compassion he showed when he came to my home to help me say goodbye to my beautiful Staffie, Shadow."

— Maria O'Sullivan

Your Pet

Every animal is different. Here's what to expect depending on your pet.

Dogs are creatures of habit and smell. Arriving at a veterinary clinic can cause anxiety — unfamiliar smells, cold surfaces, strange sounds. We remove all of that. We arrive in home clothes, introduce ourselves gently, and let your dog come to us at their own pace.

The first injection

A small injection under the skin at the back of the neck — a relaxant and pain relief combination. Your dog will feel it no more than a small scratch, and within 5–10 minutes will be deeply, comfortably asleep.

Drifting off with you nearby

The second injection is given once your dog is deeply asleep — usually into the vein in the leg. Their breathing will slow and stop peacefully. You can hold them, stroke them, and speak to them throughout.

Pawprint & hair keepsakes

We can take a paw impression or a small lock of fur at the time of the visit — a gentle, lasting memory of your beloved dog.
