About Alice & Sam

We're Sam and Alice, the Vets behind The Home Farewell Vet. We've lived and worked here for over 20 years, caring for Cornish families and their beloved pets across Cornwall.

For many years, we've built our lives here together, surrounded by the coastline, communities, and animals that mean so much to us. Cornwall is home in every sense of the word, and supporting local families through one of life's hardest moments is something we feel deeply honoured to do.

The Home Farewell Vet was created because we wanted to build something we truly believed was important … compassionate home euthanasia that gives pets and their families the peaceful, loving goodbye they deserve.

We understand firsthand how profound the bond between people and their pets can be. Our own dog, Myrtle, inspired us to write a children's grief book called Myrtle's Pawprints — a gentle story created to help children and families talk about love, loss, and remembering those we miss.

Grief is something so many people experience, yet it still isn't talked about enough. We believe grief should be part of how we understand each other, support each other, and care for one another … whether that grief is for a person or a cherished pet.

That belief shapes everything we do.

At The Home Farewell Vet, we provide peaceful pet euthanasia at home throughout Cornwall, allowing dogs, cats, and other much-loved companions to remain somewhere familiar and comfortable, surrounded by love.

As a Cornish family ourselves, we know how important warmth, honesty, and kindness are during difficult times. From the first conversation to your pet's final farewell, we are here to offer calm support, gentle guidance, and compassionate care every step of the way.
